Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Description

JOB DUTIES: Manage, organize, and market the Food & Beverage operation.

Deliver Relational Service to Members/Guests.

Oversee dining room operations;

Interact with members, guests and vendors.

Successfully assist with day-to-day operations, member activities, menu rollouts, beverage inventory etc.

Attends to the needs of the membership to assure a high standard of member satisfaction; review and evaluate on a consistent basis.

Maintains a presence on the floor to visually monitor and ensure food quality and service standards are met.

Participates in the certification process of all F&B Staff.

Manages the restaurant appearance, maintenance, and atmosphere.

Reviews reservations and upcoming events to plan appropriate staffing levels and scheduling.

Assist in the operation of banquets. Maintains communication with service staff. Perform administrative duties such as staff scheduling, training, and communications.  Promotes the cross-selling of other F&B outlets at the club.

Knowledge of opening/closing procedures and other general duties associated with the operations of a restaurant. Assist with all scheduling and coordinating for training and developing service staff.

Assist with associate hiring, training, scheduling and development.

Continuously evaluate personnel performance and encourage improvement.

Attend core management classes at Cliffs University.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of F&B mangement experience; fine dining/country club preferred. Strong beverage background preferred. Directly related degree preferred. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated team-building and leadership experience. Strong technical and organizational skills. Strong customer service orientation and skills. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up. Able to multitask and meet deadlines. Display a sense of urgency and self motivation to ensure The Cliffs Lifestyle is delivered to each member and guest.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to continuously stand for up to a 10 hour shift. Ability to bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, climb stairs, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work under strenuous and heated conditions.
