The Executive Chef is expected to enhance the food quality and act as the area`s culinary leader in contemporary cuisine. In this role, you will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities, plan and prepare menu items, establish presentation technique and quality standards, and oversee special catering events.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times, direct supervision of kitchen personnel, including assisting with hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and initiating pay increases, maintaining high levels of member satisfaction, kitchen inventory, and cost control. The Executive Chef will work closely with the Club Director to develop menus and pricing.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor`s degree or related culinary degree (preferably a CEC) with a minimum of 5 years of industry & culinary management experience (preferably in a fine dining/ upscale business establishment). He/she must be able to lead, train, motivate, and evaluate kitchen team for optimum performance. He/she must be able to develop, cost, and implement menus that are creative, innovative, and healthy while exceeding the expectations of quality and value for members and guests. The Executive Chef must also have mathematical skills to compute costs as well as proficiency with computer applications related to food management/ cost accounting programs. |
