Job Description

The Restaurant Manager will provide restaurant supervision and leadership to maintain and continuously improve upon the existing high standards of quality and service by delivering The Cliffs’ Lifestyle. Attends to the needs of the membership to assure a high standard of hospitality and member satisfaction. Organizes and conducts pre-shift meetings. Manages dining reservations. Maximizes restaurant department profitability, implements effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs to ensure efficient operations, creates forecast and revenue reports. Maintains a presence on the floor to visually monitor and take corrective action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Manages the restaurant appearance, maintenance, and atmosphere. Regularly reviews and evaluates the degree of member satisfaction. Maintains communication with Front and Back of the House staff. Participates in the marketing of new and creative menus. Promotes the cross-selling of other F&B outlets at the club. Knowledge of opening/closing procedures and other general duties associated with the operations of a restaurant. Additional responsibilities include staffing, training, and coaching service staff to ensure compliance with The Cliffs policies and service standards. Updates point-of-sale system, tracks payroll, revenue and expenses. Individual works in concert with the F&B Manager.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of F&B Management experience; fine dining/country club preferred. Directly related degree preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of F&B preparations, service standards, member relations and etiquette.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated team-building and leadership experience. Strong technical and organizational skills; knowledge of Microsoft office products and Jonas preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up. Sense of urgency and self-motivation to ensure The Cliffs Lifestyle is delivered to each member/guest. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, holidays and weekends. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
